GOLDEN ERA PRODUCTIONS

Golden Era Productions is the Church of Scientology’s film and audio production studio dedicated to upholding the legacy of Founder L. Ron Hubbard’s audiovisual works.

As Scientology was born at the dawn of this audiovisual age, Mr. Hubbard envisioned films as a powerful means to communicate the religion to anyone and everyone. To that end, he wrote films to provide an introduction to Dianetics and Scientology, enlighten people on Church services and demonstrate the correct and standard practice of the religion. Building on the most advanced techniques of the industry, he tested, innovated and codified groundbreaking procedures for filmmaking and sound recording while directing the first of those films. He further wrote instructional material for the audiovisual arts used by Church staff.

Since its original establishment in 1978, Golden Era Productions has evolved into a state-of-the-art production complex. Located on a 500-acre property in Riverside, California, the facilities encompass an 80,000-square-foot film studio and superlative post-production suites. A world-class music recording and mixing studio. A cutting-edge film laboratory and sound restoration studio, leading the field of audiovisual restoration and preservation. All that, and more, is where Golden Era Productions produces Mr. Hubbard’s Dianetics and Scientology films and lectures, as well as audiovisual materials for the social betterment programs based on his discoveries—and all at the highest level of technical and aesthetic quality.
